Safe driving school — how refresher lessons work
On your first refresher lesson the instructor assesses your current level and together you set a plan for the next lessons. Each lesson is 2 × 45 minutes (90 minutes total), so there’s plenty of time for meaningful practice in real traffic. We focus on exactly what you need — parking, junctions, roundabouts, gear changes, motorways or night driving.
At the end of every lesson you get specific feedback and recommendations. The goal of a safe-driving school is for you to feel genuinely confident and safe behind the wheel — not just "survive" the commute, but actually enjoy driving again.

How long am I a "novice driver" in Czech law?
Under Czech law you are a novice driver for 2 years after passing your test. During that period you have a lower point limit (6 instead of 12). Even after that window, if you didn’t drive regularly during those two years, refresher lessons help you catch up on missing practice and significantly boost your road safety.
What are the basic rules of safe driving?
The basics include: keeping a safe following distance (the 2-second rule), smooth braking and acceleration, checking your blind spot before changing lanes, adapting speed to conditions (rain, fog, night) and — above all — focused driving, no phones. On our refresher lessons we practise all of this in real traffic, not just in theory.
How much do refresher lessons cost in Brno?
Refresher lessons in Brno cost from 1,399 CZK per lesson (2 × 45 minutes). Single lesson: 1,500 CZK. 5-lesson package: 7,000 CZK (1,400 CZK / lesson). 10-lesson package: 13,990 CZK (1,399 CZK / lesson). The price always includes the school car, fuel and a professional instructor. No hidden fees.
Can I use my own car for refresher lessons?
Yes — refresher lessons in your own car are possible. If you want to practise on your actual vehicle (a new car, a different transmission type), the instructor comes to you and the whole lesson takes place in your car. The only requirements are valid MOT and insurance. The price stays the same.
How are refresher lessons different from a regular driving school course?
Refresher lessons focus purely on practical driving — no theory, no exams. They’re for drivers who already have a licence but want to refresh or improve their skills. The programme is fully individual. You can book one lesson or ten — entirely up to you. At MeGo Brno we always drive 2 × 45 minutes, so there’s time for real, meaningful practice.
How many refresher lessons will I need?
It depends on your starting level and how long you haven’t driven. Most clients feel a significant improvement after 3–5 lessons. If you haven’t driven for several years, we recommend the 5 or 10-lesson package. If you just want a quick refresh, a single lesson may be enough. After the first lesson the instructor will recommend the ideal number.
What cars do you use?
We drive Škoda Fabia, Škoda Superb and VW Touareg. You can pick which car you’d like to practise in — whether you prefer a smaller city car, a comfortable saloon or an SUV. If you prefer, you can also drive your own car.
