MeGo Driving School Terms and Conditions
1. Introductory Provisions
These Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as the „Terms“) govern the mutual rights and obligations between MeGo Driving School, Company ID No.: 21376034, VAT ID CZ8851104152 with its registered office at Palackého třída 924/105, Brno, 612 00 (hereinafter referred to as the „Driving School“), and the applicant for a driving license (hereinafter referred to as the „Applicant“), 1 arising from the contract for the provision of instruction and training for obtaining a driving license. The Driving School will undertake to provide the Applicant with instruction and training to obtain a driving license for group B, or Ba, in accordance with Act No. 247/2000 Coll., on Acquiring and Improving Professional Competence to Drive Motor Vehicles and on Amendments to Certain Acts, as amended (hereinafter referred to as the „Driving School Act“), and related legal regulations. All prices mentioned within the offer are VAT included.
2. Subject of the Contract
The subject of the contract is the Driving School’s commitment to provide the Applicant with instruction and training to obtain a driving license for group B, or Ba, in accordance with the Driving School Act and related legal regulations. In the case of using services other than courses for group B, the driving school undertakes to provide the applicant with services to the extent specified on the website onlymego.cz.
3. Conclusion of the Contract
The contract is concluded at the moment when the Applicant signs a written application for admission to instruction and training and the Driving School accepts this application. The Applicant is obliged to familiarize themselves with these Terms before signing the contract.
4. Conditions for Admission to Instruction and Training
The Driving School will accept an Applicant for instruction and training who:
- is at least 17 years of age on the day of completion of the training (for group B, or Ba),
has legal capacity, - is medically fit to drive motor vehicles,
- is not serving a sentence of prohibition of activity consisting in the prohibition of driving motor vehicles,
- submits to the Driving School a duly completed, signed, and double-sided printed application for admission to instruction and training,
- submits to the Driving School a valid identity document,
- submits to the Driving School a medical certificate of fitness to drive motor vehicles not older than 3 months.
5. Scope and Content of Instruction and Training
The scope and content of instruction and training are governed by the Driving School Act and related legal regulations. The minimum scope of instruction and training for group B is set out in Annex No. 3 to the Driving School Act and includes:
Theoretical Instruction:
- Regulations on vehicle operation – 5 teaching hours
- Vehicle control and maintenance – 1 teaching hour
- Driving theory and principles of safe driving – 3 teaching hours
- Health preparation – 1 teaching hour
- Review and testing – 1 teaching hour
Practical Training:
- Driving a vehicle – at least 28 teaching hours
- Vehicle maintenance – 2 teaching hours
- Health preparation – 4 teaching hours
Instruction is carried out in the form of an individual study plan according to Act No. 247/2000 Coll. Extra driving lessons in the MeGo 17, MeGo 20, and MeGo NAPLNO packages cannot be exchanged for money, a discount on the course, or any other service provided by the driving school.
6. Price and Payment Terms
The price for instruction and training is set out in the Driving School’s price list, which is available to Applicants at the Driving School’s premises and on its website. The price includes all costs associated with instruction and training, including the cost of the first exam. The price does not include the fee of the Brno City Municipality for the first exam. The Applicant is obliged to pay the price for instruction and training no later than 7 days from the signing of the binding application. The Driving School may, in agreement with the Applicant, allow payment in installments.
7. Rights and Obligations of the Applicant
The Applicant has the right to:
- receive instruction and training in accordance with the contract and the Terms,
- receive information on the progress of instruction and training,
- change instructors if available,
- withdraw from the contract under the conditions set out in these Terms,
- if necessary, request a transfer to another driving school during the course.
The Applicant is obliged to:
- attend lessons and training properly and on time,
- follow the instructions of the instructor,
- comply with the Driving School’s rules,
- Pass the admission test in the MojeAutoškola application before the first practical driving training,
- pay the price for lessons and training in accordance with the contract and the Terms,
- ensure the safety of themselves and other road users,
- in case of absence from lessons or training, apologize to the instructor at least 24 hours in advance,
- in case of unexcused absence the lesson is not being rescheduled (unless cancellation fee applied)
- In case of an unexcused absence from a practical driving lesson, the Applicant is required to pay a cancellation fee of 900 CZK if the student canceled 3 or 5 lessons less than 24 hours in advance, depending on the course purchased
- in case of an unexcused absence from a theoretical lesson or practical training other than practical driving, pay a fine of 300 CZK,
the fine is not paid if the absence is duly supported by a medical report within 48 hours after
Important Note: To ensure the smooth operation of the lessons, timely and clear communication between the Applicant and the Driving School is essential, especially in the event of schedule changes, cancellations of lessons, or other matters. Timely mannered and clear communication will prevent misunderstandings and possible fees for unexcused lessons.
8. Rights and Obligations of the Driving School
The Driving School has the right to:
- obtain payment of the price for instruction and training in accordance with the contract and the Terms,
- exclude the Applicant from instruction and training if they grossly violate the Driving School’s rules or the instructor’s instructions,
- withdraw from the contract under the conditions set out in these Terms.
- refuse any applicant without ecplanation
The Driving School is obliged to:
- provide the Applicant with instruction and training in accordance with the contract and the Terms,
- provide the Applicant with suitable conditions for instruction and training,
- inform the Applicant about the progress of instruction and training,
- register the Applicant for the final exams after fulfilling all conditions.
9. Interruption of Instruction and Training
The Applicant has the right to interrupt instruction and training for serious reasons (e.g., illness, study abroad). The Applicant is obliged to inform the Driving School in writing of the interruption. In the event of an interruption longer than 6 months, the Applicant is obliged to re-attend theoretical training and pay its price upon resuming instruction and training. At the same time, in the event of a change in the price of the course, the applicant is obliged to pay the difference between the original and the new price.
10. Withdrawal from the Contract
The Applicant is entitled to withdraw from the contract at any time before the start of training. In such a case, the Driving School is entitled to demand payment of a cancellation fee of 25% of the course price. The Applicant is entitled to withdraw from the contract even after the start of training. In such a case, the Driving School is entitled to demand payment of a proportionate part of the price for instruction and training, which corresponds to the extent of the services already provided. The Driving School may, in justified cases, reduce the cancellation fee or waive it completely. The Driving School is entitled to withdraw from the contract with a 100% cancellation fee of the remaining course price if the Applicant:
- grossly violates the Driving School’s rules or the instructor’s instructions,
- fails to pay the price for instruction and training in accordance with the contract and the Terms,
- loses medical fitness to drive motor vehicles,
- is sentenced to a prohibition of activity consisting in the prohibition of driving motor vehicles.
- repeatedly fails to attend a scheduled practical training lesson.
- in the event that the applicant has lost his medical fitness to drive motor vehicles during the course, he has been sentenced by an administrative authority or a court to a ban on driving motor vehicles.
11. Final Exams
The Driving School will register the Applicant for the final exams after fulfilling all the conditions stipulated by the Driving School Act and related legal regulations. The Applicant is obliged to pay the government fee for the final exams and any additions they may need
12. Complaints
If the Applicant is not satisfied with the quality of the services provided, they have the right to file a complaint with the Driving School. The complaint must be submitted in writing and delivered to the address of the Driving School. The Driving School is obliged to process the complaint within 30 days of its receipt.
13. Protection of Personal Data
The Driving School undertakes to protect the personal data of Applicants in accordance with Act No. 101/2000 Coll., on the Protection of Personal Data, as amended.
14. Gift Vouchers
The Driving School offers gift vouchers that can be used to pay for instruction and training. Gift vouchers are available in various values and can be purchased at the Driving School’s premises or online. The validity of the gift voucher is 6 months from the date of purchase. The gift voucher is transferable and can be given to a third party. The gift certificate can be used for any driving school course, whether it is a course for group B (passenger car), Ba (passenger car with automatic transmission) or other additional services provided by the driving school. The gift voucher cannot be exchanged for cash. In case of loss or theft of the gift voucher, its replacement cannot be claimed.
15. Final Provisions
The Driving School reserves the right to change the Terms. Applicants will be notified of any changes to the Terms on the Driving School’s website. All disputes arising in connection with the contract and the Terms will be resolved amicably. If the dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it will be decided by the competent court.
