1. Introductory Provisions

These Terms and Conditions (hereinafter "Terms") govern the mutual rights and obligations between the driving school Autoškola MeGo, operated by Bc. Anna Hodgson, Company ID 21376034 (hereinafter the "Driving School") and its student (hereinafter the "Student") in connection with the provision of driver training and related services.

The Terms form an integral part of the training agreement concluded between the Driving School and the Student and are based on Act No. 247/2000 Coll., on the acquisition and improvement of professional competence to drive motor vehicles, and on the Czech Civil Code.

These Terms are available in Czech and English. The agreement may be concluded in either Czech or English.

The Driving School reserves the right to amend these Terms. The version effective on the date the training agreement is concluded shall apply.

2. Contracting Parties

Provider (Driving School):

  • Autoškola MeGo — operator: Bc. Anna Hodgson
  • Registered office / premises: Palackého třída 924/105, 612 00 Brno, Czech Republic
  • Company ID: 21376034
  • VAT payer
  • Driving-school registration: Magistrate of the City of Brno, Transport and Administrative Department
  • E-mail: info@onlymego.cz · Phone: +420 602 615 916
  • Office hours: Monday 16:00–18:00, Thursday 8:00–10:00, Saturday 9:00–11:00, or by individual arrangement

The Student is a natural person who has concluded a training agreement with the Driving School for the purpose of completing a course to obtain a driving licence or another training service.

The Student has the status of a consumer under § 419 of the Civil Code, unless they state that they are concluding the agreement within the scope of their business activity.

3. Subject of Agreement and Courses

The subject of the agreement is the provision of training in the scope agreed between the Driving School and the Student, in accordance with the requirements of Act No. 247/2000 Coll. and its implementing regulations.

The Driving School offers in particular the following courses:

  • Category B – course for obtaining a Category B driving licence (passenger car)
  • L17 – training for driving from age 17 with a mentor
  • Automatic – training on a vehicle with automatic transmission
  • Express course – intensive course with up to 5 lessons per week
  • Refresher lessons – individual lessons for driving-licence holders
  • Course for nervous drivers – special programme focused on overcoming fear of driving
  • Driver refresher training and other educational courses

The current course offering and prices are available at www.onlymego.cz. The current information and conditions of individual packages are always listed on the Driving School's website in the section of the respective package.

4. Conclusion of Agreement

Conclusion of the training agreement is preceded by a non-binding online pre-registration at omg.onlymego.cz. The pre-registration is merely an expression of interest in the course and does not conclude any agreement.

The complete, duly filled-in and signed application (including the driving-licence application confirmed by a physician) may be submitted exclusively in person at the Driving School office, during opening hours or, where scheduled, at the first lecture or the introductory lesson. The application cannot be submitted by post, by e-mail, or by any other remote means; applications dropped into a mailbox are disregarded. The Driving School does not allow the agreement to be concluded at a distance.

The training agreement is concluded at the moment the Driving School accepts the complete application in person and confirms the Student's admission to the course, with the simultaneous physical presence of both parties at the Driving School's premises.

Any payment made by the Student before the agreement is concluded (e.g. the first instalment) constitutes an advance and does not in itself conclude the agreement; if the agreement is not concluded, the Driving School returns the advance to the Student.

A minor Student in the L17 scheme submits the consent of their legal representative, which the legal representative gives by signing the Student's application in the relevant field.

Because the agreement is concluded in person at the Driving School's premises, it is not a distance or off-premises contract; the consequences for the right of withdrawal are governed by the Withdrawal from Agreement article.

5. Price and Payment Terms

The course price is agreed according to the current price list of the Driving School valid on the day of application acceptance. Prices are stated including VAT (the Driving School is a VAT payer) and include everything described in the specific course.

The course price may be paid by:

  • bank transfer to the Driving School's account
  • cash at the Driving School office
  • in instalments for courses that explicitly offer this option
  • progressively via Pay as you go (PAYG) by topping up credit in the Student's wallet

Instalment schedule: for the MeGo in-instalments course, the price is paid in three instalments. The 1st instalment is due upon conclusion of the agreement (in-person submission of the complete application; if paid earlier, it is an advance until the agreement is concluded) and allows the Student to start theoretical instruction, the 2nd instalment must be paid before the first driving lesson and unlocks practical training, and the 3rd instalment must be paid no later than before the 8th driving lesson. Each subsequent instalment is due at the stated milestone, or one month after the previous instalment, whichever comes first. So if, for example, the Student completes only 2 theory lessons in a month and has not yet started driving, they must still pay the next instalment. The maximum delay for paying an instalment is 14 days; after it lapses, the Driving School is entitled to convert the course to the PAYG mode.

Pay as you go (PAYG): the course may also be paid progressively — the Student gradually tops up a wallet in their account at omg.onlymego.cz and individual driving lessons and lectures are deducted from the credit. The current PAYG prices are always listed on the PAYG page at www.onlymego.cz/pay-as-you-go-en/. If the Student fails to pay the agreed instalments even after a reminder from the Driving School, the Driving School is entitled to automatically convert the course to the PAYG mode.

The Driving School issues a tax document (invoice) to the Student after payment is credited and stores it as a paid invoice exclusively in the Student's account at omg.onlymego.cz, where the Student can always see the payment status. Until the course price is paid in full, the Driving School is not obliged to register the Student for the final examination.

The course price includes the administrative fee for the first examination (CZK 700, Magistrate of the City of Brno). Fees for repeat examinations (§ 39 of Act No. 247/2000 Coll. – CZK 100 for the test, CZK 400 for the practical drive) are paid by the Student directly to the municipal office.

Repeat examinations — school fees: the second, third and any further attempt at the theoretical part is charged at CZK 5,000, which includes the interpreter fee. The second, third and any further attempt at the practical driving exam is charged at CZK 500. These fees are separate from the statutory administrative fees payable to the municipal office.

For the English-language course, an interpreter into English is arranged and provided by the Driving School exclusively for the theoretical part of the examination and is included in the course price; the interpreter is not provided for theory lessons or practical driving lessons. The Driving School does not provide interpreting in languages other than English. If the Student requires an interpreter in a language other than English, the Student must complete all theory lectures and driving lessons with a court-certified interpreter; the costs of such an interpreter are borne by the Student and are added on top of the course price. In addition to the course price and the interpreter cost, the Student pays a fee of CZK 5,000 for private theory lessons.

6. Course Progression

Instruction and training is carried out in the scope established by Act No. 247/2000 Coll. and in accordance with the approved curriculum of the Driving School.

Training includes:

  • theoretical instruction – lectures always held in person at the Driving School office; theory is never delivered via e-learning
  • practical driving training – minimum 28 teaching hours of 45 minutes each for Category B
  • vehicle maintenance and first-aid training in the statutory scope

The statutory minimum of practical training for Category B is 14 lessons (28 teaching hours of 45 minutes each). The packages offered by the Driving School (in particular 17 or 20 lessons) comprise these 14 mandatory lessons plus EXTRA lessons on top. The Student has no legal entitlement to lessons beyond the statutory 14, and EXTRA lessons cannot be exchanged for money or refunded as unused lessons beyond the 14. The Driving School nevertheless undertakes to carry out the agreed number of lessons, unless prevented by exceptional circumstances (in particular force majeure, long-term illness or incapacity of the instructor, technical unfitness of the vehicle, the Student's medical incapacity, or the Student's repeated unexcused absences) or by the Student's breach of these Terms.

With the MeGo All In package (English course) the Student chooses either 20 lessons or lessons up to 5× per week (English course only).

Scheduling instruction and training is the Student's responsibility. The Student plans both driving lessons and lectures themselves in their student account at omg.onlymego.cz. To be able to schedule driving lessons, the Student must complete at least 7 practice tests within 7 days; if this condition is not met, scheduled lessons may be cancelled (without penalty and without being deducted from the prepaid package). There is no entitlement to lesson planning and no exceptions.

The training cannot be shortened. If the Student insists on taking the examination against the instructor's recommendation, when in the instructor's view they are not ready, the Student loses the entitlement to EXTRA lessons.

First attempts have priority for examination dates; second, third and further attempts are placed on a waiting list managed by the Driving School.

Where cheating on the required tests is suspected, the instructor may require the test to be completed directly in the car, in front of the instructor.

If the Student believes the assigned instructor is not objective, or in the event of a disagreement, an evaluation drive of 30 minutes is arranged, to which the Student is entitled once per course. The evaluation drive always takes place in the presence of a second instructor; its outcome decides the length of training, the number of lessons per week, or possibly early termination of the course.

After completing the training, the Driving School registers the Student for the final examination at the relevant municipal office. The examination date is assigned by the municipal office; the Driving School notifies the Student with sufficient advance notice.

If the Student fails the examination, they are entitled to a repeat examination under § 39 of Act No. 247/2000 Coll. Fees for repeat examinations and any supplementary lessons are not included in the course price.

7. Student Rights and Obligations

The Student is obliged in particular to:

  • arrive for lessons on time and in a condition fit to drive (free from alcohol, drugs, or medication impairing attention)
  • carry a valid ID, lesson confirmation, and any other required documents (e.g. glasses required by the medical certificate)
  • follow the instructor's directions and respect safety instructions
  • notify the Driving School without undue delay of any change to personal data, health status, or other circumstances relevant to the training
  • treat the Driving School's vehicles and equipment with care
  • follow the instructor's directions and treat the instructor with respect
  • arrive for lessons in proper footwear and clean clothing (not, e.g., flip-flops)
  • get in and out at the agreed pick-up and drop-off point

The Student has the right to:

  • receive instruction and training in the scope and quality required by law and the concluded agreement
  • be taught by an instructor who meets the statutory qualification requirements
  • be informed about the progress of the training and achieved results
  • have reasonable individual needs considered (within the scope of the chosen course)

Suitable clothing and footwear: the Student arrives for lessons in proper footwear and clean clothing (no flip-flops etc.). If this is not observed, the instructor may decide not to carry out the lesson; the Student then pays a fee according to the schedule of fees set out in these Terms (see Lesson Cancellation and Fees).

The pick-up and drop-off point is always the car park on Palackého třída 105, 612 00 Brno. Exceptions may be approved only by the instructor by prior arrangement and there is no entitlement to them.

The course book (study material) provided to the Student may be requested back by the Driving School if the Student transfers to another driving school or decides to terminate the course early.

The Driving School reserves the right to refuse or suspend the training of a Student who arrives under the influence of addictive substances, repeatedly breaches safety instructions, or acts in a manner endangering road safety. Costs already paid for the completed part of the course are non-refundable in such cases.

8. Lesson Cancellation and Fees

A scheduled driving lesson may be changed or cancelled free of charge no later than 24 hours before its scheduled start, exclusively through the Driving School's reservation system, by phone, or by e-mail.

Theory lesson (lecture): for a no-show without excuse, or cancellation less than 24 hours before the start, the Driving School is entitled to charge a contractual penalty of CZK 600.

Driving lesson: if the Student fails to attend without excuse, cancels less than 24 hours before the start, or has an unannounced delay of more than 10 minutes, the driving lesson is cancelled and is never counted as completed; the Student is obliged to pay a contractual penalty of CZK 1,500 as compensation for the idle time of the instructor and vehicle.

Until the penalty is paid, the Student's scheduled lessons and lecture (theory) attendance may be cancelled.

If the Driving School's instructor fails to attend the lesson on the Driving School's side, the Driving School is obliged to offer the Student a replacement date at the earliest opportunity, free of additional charge.

In the case of illness supported by a medical certificate, a lesson may be cancelled without a cancellation fee even within the 24-hour period.

The Driving School reserves the right to move or postpone a lesson, for example due to heavy traffic, unexpected events, a vehicle technical defect, extreme weather conditions, or force majeure. In such cases, the Student will be offered a replacement date.

9. Withdrawal from Agreement

The training agreement is concluded exclusively in person at the Driving School's premises (see the "Conclusion of Agreement" article) with the simultaneous physical presence of both parties; the Driving School does not allow the agreement to be concluded at a distance or off premises. It is therefore not an agreement to which the consumer's statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under § 1829 of the Civil Code would apply — that right does not apply.

Mandatory consumer rights arising from law that cannot be contractually excluded are not affected by this provision.

The Student may terminate the agreement (without prejudice to any statutory withdrawal under the paragraphs above). In such a case the Student is obliged to pay for the instruction and lessons actually completed according to the applicable price list, plus the following cancellation fee agreed as a contractual penalty compensating the Driving School's reasonably incurred costs and the cost of reserving capacity:

  • Transfer to another driving school: a cancellation fee of 25% of the total course price.
  • Termination before instruction and training begins: a cancellation fee of 25% of the total amount paid.

Termination by the Driving School: the Driving School has the exclusive right to terminate the instruction and training of a Student who does not respect the instructor's directions or behaves aggressively towards the instructor (aggressive conduct as well as aggressive speech). In such a case the Driving School is entitled to charge a cancellation fee of up to 100% of the course price, agreed as a contractual penalty and compensation for the damage and reasonably incurred costs.

Return of the course book: on transfer to another driving school or early termination of the course, the Student is obliged to return the course book (study material) received with the course, with no refund for that book.

The Driving School will refund any unused portion of the price, after deducting the above items, within 30 days of termination.

If the Student requests a transfer to another driving school, the Driving School will issue the transfer form (převodka) without undue delay, no later than during the second opening hours of its office following delivery of the request. The transfer form can be collected during the office's opening hours by prior arrangement.

Training may be suspended at the Student's request; however, the training must be completed within the statutory time limits (§ 28 of Act No. 247/2000 Coll.).

10. Complaints and Defective Performance

The rights and obligations of the parties concerning defective performance are governed in particular by §§ 1914 to 1925 and §§ 2099 to 2112 of the Civil Code and by Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on consumer protection.

The Driving School is liable for ensuring that the service is provided in the agreed scope and quality, in accordance with Act No. 247/2000 Coll.

The Student may submit a complaint without undue delay after discovering the defect:

  • in person at the Driving School office: Palackého třída 924/105, 612 00 Brno
  • by e-mail: info@onlymego.cz
  • by phone: +420 602 615 916

The Driving School will issue a complaint receipt to the Student. The complaint will be decided without undue delay — in complex cases within 3 working days — and will be resolved within 30 days at the latest, unless the parties agree otherwise.

The competent body for out-of-court consumer dispute resolution is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, Štěpánská 567/15, 120 00 Prague 2, Company ID: 000 20 869, adr.coi.cz. The Student may also bring the claim before the competent court.

11. Personal Data Protection

The Driving School processes the Student's personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Act No. 110/2019 Coll., on personal data processing.

Personal data is processed in particular for the purposes of:

  • performance of the training agreement and the Driving School's statutory obligations
  • maintenance of student records under Act No. 247/2000 Coll.
  • communication with the Student and delivery of information about course progress
  • sending of commercial communications (only with consent, which may be withdrawn at any time)

Detailed information on the processing of personal data, the rights of the data subject, and how to exercise them is provided in a separate document — the Privacy Policy, available at www.onlymego.cz/privacy-policy/.

The supervisory authority in the area of personal data protection is the Office for Personal Data Protection, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7.

12. Final Provisions

The relationship established by the training agreement is governed by Czech law, in particular the Civil Code, Act No. 247/2000 Coll. and the Consumer Protection Act.

If any provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid or ineffective, it shall be replaced by a provision whose meaning is as close as possible to the invalid provision. The invalidity of one provision does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

The training agreement, including these Terms, is archived by the Driving School in electronic form for the period required by law.

Legal disputes: in the event of legal disputes, the Driving School communicates exclusively via its data box 3wxz22t or by registered letters sent to the Driving School's registered office.

Respect and tolerance: MeGo driving school is built on the respect and tolerance of everyone involved. Intolerance of this provision (clause) may lead to early termination of the instruction and training.

These Terms take effect on July 1, 2026 and supersede all previous versions.
